Round 3 final round of the winter series at yarley motopark nr wells in somerset, with good weather
and dry conditions saw a turn out of 134 riders making some exciting racing all day with riders from all organizations
coming together for a pre season warm up . With large entry's in expert senior & junior classes but a small and competitive
entry in the inter class 10-13 yr olds. The small four person team of ultimate offroad put in weeks of hard work grading and
revamping the circuit to keep riders and spectators pleased , meeting ran smooth with three full blocks of racing and finishing
at a surprised time of 3pm. First race of the day Experts saw some very exciting racing with south west motocross champion
NIck Life take the first win of the day with gary roper close behind in second , with tim pearce in third and chris
pepin in fourth. second race saw roper and life side by side charging for the lead on the first lap untill the final corner
where they came together leaving roper on the deck , life then had it all his own way from then on pulling out a lead with
richard southcott charging hard in second putting in a fine ride with roper now remounted and coming back up through the pack
to finish third and and kevin sanders consistant ride again to finish fourth steve lock was in second until two laps
from the end where a back marker had brought him off trying his best to restart as bikes came by droping down field where
he finished fifth. Race three saw roper charge out in front with a good start leading for nearly three laps untill nick
life came past , roper never let life have it his own way keeping close all the way though pressuring life for the lead. Seniors
first race of the day saw welsh man loyd jones take a start to finsih win with only jasper uphill for his nearest rival with
a hard charging through the pack john pearce in third , race two saw jones take the lead again this time with anthony milliar
hot on his tail in second the pair raced smooth and consistant all the way through not allowing the gap to change uphill working
hard coming through the pack from not such a good start to finish third. Race three saw uphill with a blinder of a start straight
out in front putting lap after lap quicker times making sure it was his for the taking with jones down feild working just
as hard coming up through the pack but never could catch uphill who took the win in fine style with tim painter in third and
darren housell in forth. A full line up in juniors of 36 saw some good action through out the day with nathan coulson take
the best wheelie up a start straight prize finnaly ending in a get off snapping his rear fender. race leader bradley shields
charged out in front in fine style showing he had form maybe to race in the seniors next time , ashley shipton close behind
in second with tim hawkins in third . Race two saw shields charge out in front with shipton in second chasing him down but
never to pass for the lead and hawkins in third could only watch the first two battle it out , amongst all the bikes was chris
pritchett on a 1970's macio trying his best to ride the challenging technical circuit of yarley motopark. Race three shields
again in unstopple form out front with jake warren riding a blinder in second shame he could find this form earlier in the
day and ever consistant in third hawkins . then it was the inters class 10-13 year olds on 65-150 big wheel bikes race one
saw ryan hooper take a start to finsh win with callam collins charger hard in second and edward turner in third, race two
saw hooper out front again pulling out a lead in style with kieran banks finding form he couldnt in race one pushing hard
in second with luke williams close behind in third just waiting for a mistake to be made by banks. Race three saw hooper lead
with banks and turner swapping postions making it exciting to watch with turner piping it on the flag for second and banks
only bike wheel behind in third.
After some exciting racing all day and three full blocks at full time the meeting was over at
3pm
with riders asking for a extra fourth race but with rain due at 3.30pm it was agreed
